Welcome to Women’s Work Legal. This website is operated by the Law Office of Katie Loftus, APC DBA Women’s Work Legal (“Women’s Work Legal,” “we,” “us,” or the “Operator”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. We may revise these terms at any time, as described in Section 13.
1. Use of the website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected system;
- interfere with or disrupt the site’s operation, including by introducing viruses or other harmful code;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect content from the site; or
- submit false, misleading, or someone else’s information when contacting us or booking a consultation.
2. No legal advice
The content on this website is general information about the law and our services. It is not legal advice, and it should not be relied on as legal advice for any particular situation. Laws change, and every situation is different. Please consult an attorney about yours.
3. No attorney-client relationship
Using this website, contacting us, or booking or attending a consultation does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when a written engagement agreement is signed by both you and Women’s Work Legal. Until then, please do not send us confidential information.
4. Attorney advertising
This website may be considered attorney advertising under the rules of the State Bar of California. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Katie Loftus is licensed to practice law in California, and this website is not intended to solicit clients in any jurisdiction where she is not licensed.
5. Consultations and fees
Initial 30-minute consultations are free and carry no obligation. Fees for representation, including the one-time flat fee described on this website, apply only under a signed engagement agreement, and the terms of that agreement control.
6. Intellectual property
The content on this website, including its text, photographs, design, the Women’s Work Legal name, and the WW logo, is owned by Women’s Work Legal or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other copying, distribution, modification, or use requires our prior written permission.
7. Third-party services, cookies, and links
This website uses or links to services operated by others, including Google Calendar for booking consultations, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Vercel Web Analytics for measuring how the site and our advertising perform, Google Fonts, and Google Maps. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies are used only if you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Our Privacy Policy describes what these services collect.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
This website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Women’s Work Legal and its attorneys and staff will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or any information on it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Women’s Work Legal and its attorneys and staff from any claims, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of this website or your violation of these terms.
11. Disclosures required by law
We may disclose information collected through this website when we believe in good faith that the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when needed to protect our rights or the safety of others. Our Privacy Policy, including its California Do Not Track disclosure, explains how information is collected and used.
12. Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute about them will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the date above shows when they were last updated. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept them.
